INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)
As quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC has now become an integarl part of the institution’s system and work towards realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. By the by, it can assure all the stake holders (students, teachers, guardians, society in the catchments area, Executive council, Academic council, affiliated colleges, state govt., etc) connected with higher education about the quality of education provide by the institute. As highlighted in the UGC Guidelines
The goals of IQAC shall be:
★ To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to
improve the academic and administrative performance of the HEIs; and
★ To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through
internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
★ To induce timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and
financial tasks.
★ To verify the relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.
★ To ensure equitable access to and affordability of academic programme for various section of
society.
★ To optimize and integrate modern methods of teaching and learning.
★ To check the credibility of evaluation procedure.
★ To supervise the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and
services.
The functions of IQAC shall be:
★ Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and
administrative activities of the institution.
★ Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
★ Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes.
★ Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
★ Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.
★ Development application of quality benchmark/ parameters for the various academic and
administrative activities of the university.
★ Organization of workshops/ seminars on quality related themes.
★ Documentation of the various programmes/ activities leading to quality enhancement.
★ Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to the NAAC.
★ The operational feature of the IQAC need be devotion and commitment to improve quality
rather than mere institutional control is the basis for devising procedures and mechanisms for
assuring quality.
★ Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based
on the quality parameters of IQAC as per NAAC guidelines
